How do I decide which camera model to install at each location for WWVDS?

This article discusses how to choose which camera is installed on each pole for a WWVDS installation.

When using a spare camera for replacement, it is important to consider the site layout.

We currently use two bi-spectrum cameras:

  • GC-THO-156
  • GC-THO-D2530
Image for reference only. Actual product may differ.

The GC-THO-D2530 has a narrower field of view, allowing detection at longer distances; however, its thermal camera is limited to covering up to three lanes

The GC-THO-156 has a wider field of view, providing detection at shorter distances; however, its thermal camera can cover more than three lanes

Therefore, it is important to consider how many lanes need to be detected when selecting the appropriate camera.
